Chris Brown Crying At 2010 BET Awards: Was it Fake? A PR Stunt? Everyone had their eyes on Chris Brown during his performance at the BET Awards. Chris did a tribute performance to Michael Jackson with an unexpected twist coming toward the end of his "Man in The Mirror" delivery. The question that everyone wants to know is whether the twist was unexpected to Chris Brown as well or if it was all a publicity stunt. Towards the end of his performance he broke down and began to sob away the song. Chris' albums and sales have been suffering since he was sentenced to 5 years probation and several dozens hours of community service.
If Chris were to recovery from abusing his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, he would need to deliver something to the audience that they can relate to and help forgive Chris for his actions. However, regardless Chris did manage to reunite the world with the powerful memory of Michael Jackson and what he brought to the music industry. Some say Chris Brown is a prodigy of Michael and that he can dance and sing just like him.
There have been numerous mixed reports about his breakdown on stage. Almost everyone is skeptical about how genuinely sorry he is for what happened and what kind of character Chris Brown truly has. No one can have the actual answer and know for sure if Chris Brown staged the performance and the breakdown but we can all have our own opinions. Whether it was staged or not, it was good for Chris Brown's albums, reputation and career. He's got the media talking about him again which is exactly what every singer desires. If it was staged, Chris new the exact time when he needed to let the tears flow.
"Man in the Mirror" was the perfect song for Chris to look like the caring young man who see's himself in the mirror and is dissatisfied with his life and what he has done. Chris is seeking forgiveness and either way he has highlighted his singing career with publicity for the moment.
Chris Brown's big performance at Sunday's BET Awards where he broke down into tears while paying tribute to Michael Jackson was fake according to Lloyd who said: "He's back with a vengeance&.I think that they're gonna find a place in their heart for him again&.I told him man, you gotta get up there. You gotta CRY, you gotta really show your heart to the world."
